    The Dorra field raises controversy among the three countries, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, after an Iranian oil official announced his country’s readiness to begin exploiting the field, which prompted a Kuwaiti response, as it rejected the Iranian announcement, while Saudi Arabia said in a statement that the aforementioned field is joint Kuwaiti-Saudi ownership and has no relationship. To Iran.

    The Dorra gas field is located in the neutral zone between Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is known as Arash in the region where it is shared with Iran.

    But maritime law and the Law of the Sea Convention confirm otherwise, and the entire Dorra field belongs to Iraq, not Kuwait, and not Saudi Arabia.

    Since its discovery in 1967, the Arash/Dorra gas field has been a source of conflict between Iran and Kuwait. As for Iraq, it did not move to prove its right, even though the High Seas Convention guarantees Iraq's right to the field.
