Al-Sudani offers Egyptian companies investment in residential complexes

Shafaq News/ On Wednesday, Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani offered to Egyptian companies to invest in residential complexes in Iraq.
This came during his reception of a delegation that included a number of businessmen, economists, the private sector, and managers of Egyptian companies from various sectors, according to a statement received by Shafaq News Agency.
The Prime Minister expressed the government's desire to strengthen cooperation between Egyptian companies and the various investment and industrial sectors in Iraq, as well as to enhance partnership and exchange with the Iraqi private sector, stressing the continuation of supporting financial and banking reforms to enhance the investment environment and grant it the necessary facilities.
He praised the experience of Egyptian companies and their success in the sectors of housing, real estate development and various industries, stressing the importance of the opportunities available to them to enter the Iraqi pharmaceutical sector.
Al-Sudani also explained, during the meeting, that the path of the government program effectively adopts the development of industry and investment agriculture in Iraq, and that there is a package of measures that has been implemented, which gave practical impetus to the industrial sector, as about 40 applications were submitted to establish local pharmaceutical factories.
The Prime Minister touched on the second phase of the new residential cities, and their great need to establish factories for construction materials, in addition to proceeding with the completion of the Bismayah Residential City, which are promising opportunities available to Egyptian companies known for this activity at the global level.
For their part, Egyptian businessmen expressed a practical desire to enter the Iraqi market and cooperate with the Iraqi private sector, or with investment plans and infrastructure projects, stressing that Iraq has become an attractive environment for investment and businessmen and to open new areas of cooperation and partnership, providing more opportunities and enhancing communication and mutual development.
