    Baghdad today - Kurdistan
The Kurdish crisis is still raging between the ruling parties there, represented by the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union, despite the many mediations that took place to calm matters, whether by the central government in Baghdad or even the external parties that worked to reunite these two parties, but all efforts have failed. By failure.
These differences made the Kurdistan region, which was previously the focus of attention of the majority of countries, led by the United States of America, but the previous events that the region witnessed, including economic deterioration and the exit of Kurdistan employees in angry protests, in addition to the failure to agree on a single decision with Baghdad, caused this interest to decline. International.
Regarding this matter, veteran Kurdish politician Mahmoud Othman says today, Monday (April 1, 2024), that the international community no longer cares about Kurdistan and Iraq as before .
Othman explained in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that “the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party stipulated that Iran not interfere in internal affairs and impose its will, and therefore it is difficult for the Democrat to be convinced .”
He added, "We will be facing a new situation and an unfamiliar scene, as it will be difficult for a party from Sulaymaniyah to go to rule in Erbil and Dohuk, which are controlled by the Democratic Party, if its boycott continues ."
He pointed out, "This matter will be extremely difficult, and the solution is through an agreement between the Kurdish parties, because the dispute, especially between the two parties, led to this matter and the Federal Court taking its final decision," adding, "We are facing a new and ongoing conflict between the Kurdish parties."
A member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Rebin Salam, said earlier today, Monday (April 1, 2024), during an interview with “Baghdad Today” that “some were saying that the Democratic Party does not have the seriousness to boycott the elections and wants to put pressure to achieve political gains, but it has proven the opposite. ” .
He stressed that "he did not participate and register due to the failure to implement the party's conditions that he put forward in the withdrawal statement," indicating that "the political blocs still insist on erasing the constitutional identity of the region's entity, and this is what we categorically reject ."
On (March 20, 2024), Kurdish politician Sardar Mustafa confirmed that the Kurdistan Democratic Party cannot sacrifice power like the Sadrist movement.
