On Monday, the Military Industrialization Authority revealed many contracts with security services in the fields of light weapons, armored vehicles, and drones, while indicating the existence of cooperation with various companies, including Turkish, Chinese, and Serbian.
The head of the Military Industrialization Authority, Mustafa Ati, said in a statement reported by the official news agency, and seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that “the projects completed by the Military Industrialization Authority are carried out with the support of international companies and implemented by Iraqi hands.”
Ati explained, "There is cooperation with the Turkish side and companies specialized in the field of military manufacturing, as well as cooperation with the Chinese side - Norinco, in addition to Serbian companies and other companies."
He added, "The Ministry of Interior is the primary sponsor of the Military Industrialization Authority, and there are many contracts in the field of light weapons, armored vehicles, and drones, in addition to the Popular Mobilization Authority and other security agencies," expressing his "hope that these contracts will expand in order to add a new production step."
