Hajj calls on the Central Bank to direct banks to open their doors to pilgrims to exchange dollars

{Local: Al-Furat News} The Supreme Authority for Hajj and Umrah called on the Central Bank of Iraq to direct banks, especially (the Trade Bank of Iraq, Al-Rafidain, and Al-Rasheed) to open their doors to pilgrims to the Holy House of God to exchange dollar currency.
The authority stated in a statement today, a copy of which was received by {Al-Furat News}, that "there are large numbers of citizens who are included in going to Hajj and need to buy the dollar currency at the official rate, to use it in the Holy Land, but Iraqi banks are refraining from receiving them."
The Authority called on “the Central Bank to circulate a directive to all banks involved in selling the dollar currency, to receive the guests of God, since the exchange companies did not accommodate pilgrims wishing to buy the dollar at the official price.”
