, the expert in legal affairs, Abbas Al-Uqabi, suggested that Al-Mandalawi will remain Speaker of Parliament until the end of the current parliamentary session.
Al-Aqabi said, in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News, that “the acting Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, remaining as Speaker of Parliament is normal, and there is no legal violation that prevents him from managing the Council. On the contrary, the Constitution stipulates that the Council will be managed by the First Deputy in the event of the Speaker’s absence.” .
He pointed out that "the internal system of Parliament contains many loopholes and legal violations, and we must move in the direction of amending this system."
