[size=52]Head of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s representation in Baghdad, visits the General Authority of Federal Customs[/size]
[size=45]Today, Monday, May 27, 2024, Mr. Fares Issa, Head of the Kurdistan Regional Government Representative Office in Baghdad, accompanied by Mr. Bakhtiar Haji, Director General of Relations and Follow-up Affairs in the Representation, and Mr. Muhannad Abdul Jabbar, the legal representative of the Representation, visited the General Authority of Customs affiliated with the Federal Ministry of Finance. He was received by Dr. Hassan Al-Ugaili, Director General of the Authority.[/size]
[size=45]During the meeting, problems and obstacles related to customs matters in general were discussed and how to address them through special laws and instructions issued by the Federal Ministries of Finance and the Kurdistan Region regarding customs.[/size]
[size=45]The two sides also stressed the need to enhance cooperation and coordination between the representation and the authority to simplify procedures, eliminate red tape, and overcome obstacles that hinder joint work.[/size]
[size=45]It was also agreed during the meeting to link the Federal Customs Authority directly with the electronic platform of the representation, to speed up the exchange of correspondence and complete tasks smoothly.[/size]
[size=45]At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairman of the General Authority for Federal Customs praised the role of the representation in strengthening relations between the Authority and the concerned authorities in the Kurdistan Region, in the service of the public interest.[/size]
