[size=52]Head of the Kurdistan Regional Government Representation Visits the Chinese Embassy in Baghdad[/size]
[size=45]Today, Wednesday, July 10, 2024, Mr. Faris Issa, Head of the Kurdistan Regional Government Representation Office in Baghdad, visited the Chinese Embassy in Baghdad and was received by the Chinese Ambassador, Cui Wei.[/size]
[size=45]During the meeting, the current political and security situations in Iraq and the region were discussed, in addition to the results of President Masoud Barzani's recent visit to Baghdad and intensive dialogues with senior federal government officials, leaders of Iraqi political parties and forces, and foreign diplomats in Baghdad.[/size]
[size=45]In another aspect of the meeting, the urban and economic projects and plans in the Kurdistan Region were discussed, especially those related to the investment and tourism sectors and how to develop these two sectors with the participation of local and foreign investors, while emphasizing the necessity of Chinese companies participating in these projects.[/size]
[size=45]The head of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s representation in Baghdad stressed that the investment law in the Kurdistan Region is a flexible law that provides great facilities and encourages companies and investors to work in the region, and it is necessary for China to contribute to these projects.[/size]
[size=45]For his part, the Chinese Ambassador thanked the Head of the Representation for the visit, stressing that his last meeting with President Barzani was positive and fruitful and that his country supports and backs the urban and economic movement in the Kurdistan Region and will study ways to increase the contribution of Chinese companies in investment projects.[/size]
