The US State Department affirmed the United States’ commitment to cooperate with the Iraqi government to expand opportunities and improve conditions for all Iraqis.
The ministry pointed out in a statement "the importance of joint action to promote stability and development in Iraq," stressing that "the United States remains committed to supporting the Iraqi people to achieve progress and prosperity in the country, in a way that serves the interests of all."
It is noteworthy that the leader of the Shiite National Movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, called yesterday, Tuesday, for the “expulsion” of the American ambassador to Iraq.
Al-Sadr said in a long post on his page on the “X” website that Israel is “a settlement entity that has expelled the owners of the homeland and is eager to expand east and west, all with the support of American dementia and with all insolence and injustice.”
He continued, "Therefore, I repeat my demand to expel the American foolishness from Iraq and close the embassy through established diplomatic methods without any bloodshed, in order to show our character and peacefulness in the face of their terrorism and insolence. This is more harmful to them and more deterrent than the use of force, so that they do not have an excuse to destabilize the security of Iraq and its people."
