    On Wednesday, the head of the Federal Integrity Commission, Haider Hanoun, discussed with the Chinese Ambassador (Cui Wei) the possibility of benefiting from technological and information development in combating corruption.
    A statement by the Commission, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, said: “The head of the Federal Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, received an invitation to participate in the conference of the Global Practical Network of Law Enforcement Authorities concerned with anti-corruption (Globe), which is scheduled to be held in Beijing next September.” 

    The statement added, “Judge Haider Hanoun discussed, during his meeting with the Chinese Ambassador (Cui Wei) at the Authority’s headquarters, areas of cooperation between the Authority and the Chinese National Oversight Commission, especially in the field of legal assistance and the exchange of expertise and information between the two parties, and the possibility of benefiting from technological development.” and information technology taking place in the People's Republic of China," pointing out that "this development contributes significantly to the fight against corruption, indicating the importance of the memorandum of understanding that is planned to be concluded between the two parties."

    The statement continued, "The Chinese ambassador, for his part, expressed his happiness for cooperation with the Iraqi Integrity Commission, praising its efforts and its important influence in international cooperation in the field of combating corruption," noting that it "made useful contributions to enhancing the development of the network, praising the high organization witnessed by the organization." The Arab Network for Promoting Integrity and Anti-Corruption Forum was held in Baghdad at the beginning of this June, while Judge Haider Hanoun handed over an invitation to participate in the conference of the Global Practical Network of Law Enforcement Authorities concerned with combating corruption (Globe), which is scheduled to be held in the capital, Beijing, next September.
