    Baghdad today - Kurdistan
The spokesman for the Tourism Authority in Kurdistan, Ibrahim Abdel Majeed, confirmed today, Friday (June 14, 2024), the formation of oversight committees for various stakeholders in the cities of the region.
Abdul Majeed said in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that “monitoring committees were formed to prevent the exploitation of tourists,” noting that “any tourist who is exposed to exploitation by the owners of hotels, restaurants, and resorts can file a complaint.”
He added, "Coordination has been made with the security services and local governments for the purpose of facilitating the entry of tourists into the cities of the region and increasing the auditing computers at the security points (controls). There are employees from within the local governments who facilitate the entry of tourists and carry out the duty of service."
He explained, "It is expected that the number of tourists during the Eid al-Adha holiday will reach about 400,000 tourists due to the atmosphere inside the region and a full weekend in the governorates of Iraq."
