MP Ali Nema, on Sunday, identified the dangers of the Turkish incursion into northern Iraq, while sending a message to the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Nima told Al-Maalouma, "The accurate description of the Turkish invasion of large areas of the Kurdistan Region in northern Iraq is a blatant attack on national sovereignty, and it is ongoing and heading towards escalation."
He added that "the incursion includes risks to national sovereignty, which is the deployment of more bases and the extension of military power deep inside Iraq, calling on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take a deterrent position against Turkish attacks on national sovereignty."
He pointed out that he requested that "the region take a deterrent stance to stop the Turkish attacks, stressing that Ankara's excuses of the presence of the Kurdistan Workers' Party do not give it the right to bomb villages and displace hundreds of families."
It is noteworthy that the Turkish forces have been carrying out a large-scale invasion in several areas of the Kurdistan Region for weeks under the pretext of combating the Kurdistan Workers' Party. End 25 F
