The leader of the United Anbar Alliance, Dhari al-Dulaimi, warned today, Friday, against the US air force targeting important national figures to disrupt the security and economic situation in the country.
Al-Dulaimi told Al-Maalouma Agency that "the dangerous American escalation in targeting the Popular Mobilization Forces negatively affected Iraqi-American relations and put the government in a difficult position."
He expected "the US forces to escalate their operations against the leadership of the Popular Mobilization Forces and their headquarters, which threatens to create security tensions that may drag the country into the unknown."
He explained, "The Popular Mobilization Forces have honorable positions in fighting ISIS gangs and have made great sacrifices during the liberation battles, which makes targeting them a creation of a state of political, security and economic instability."
He added, "The American escalation against the Popular Mobilization Forces came against the backdrop of the Popular Mobilization leaders' rejection of the presence of American combat forces in Iraq." End/12A
