    Economy News - Baghdad
The Iraqi General Railway Company, affiliated with the Ministry of Transport, announced on Saturday that more than 90% of the conflicts in the development road project had been completed. While it revealed the formation of a committee to acquire lands for the project, it noted that the development road paths would be far from city centers and population centers.
The company's general manager, Younis Al-Kaabi, said in a statement reported by the official news agency, and reviewed by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "a high diwaniya committee was formed to expropriate lands for the development road project after 10 governorates approved the path, as the main path of the project was established."

He added, "The next stage will be the phase of expropriating lands in preparation for completing the designs and moving towards conducting tenders to attract international companies."
He continued, "The expropriation of lands belonging to the state for the development road project will be done by a government decision, and the ownership of the lands will be transferred from the owners to the project, while the lands belonging to citizens will be subject to the expropriation law and there will be generous compensation."

Al-Kaabi pointed out that "more than 80% of the lands belong to the state," explaining that "the paths of the development road were carefully chosen and are far from city centers and population centers."

Regarding the conflicts facing the project, Al-Kaabi explained that "technical meetings were held with several ministries to resolve the conflicts, and solutions will be found for all conflicts, and more than 90 percent of these conflicts have been completed."
