[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The head of the Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, stressed that the Integrity Commission is working on a fundamental issue in accordance with international agreements and treaties, the Iraqi constitution and its applicable law, which is to establish transparency to uncover corruption files.
Hanoun said in a speech during the joint conference with the head of the Communications and Media Commission, Dr. Ali Al-Muayyad: We will launch a national youth conference in the coming days that will address the principle of the rule of justice from Kufa, in commitment to the approach of Imam Ali, peace be upon him.
He continued: We will ask the world and the international community to establish the principle of the rule of justice first, then the rule of law.
Hanoun said that the constitutional text states that the accused is innocent until proven guilty, and this must be proven before the media and society.
He explained that the religious authority has put its finger on the wound and accurately identified the causes and facts of the spread of the crime of drug use and trafficking, which is one of the outcomes of corruption. Stressing that the religious authority's speech yesterday is sufficient evidence and a real project for a battle against corruption, and the media must deal with that approach in the correct manner.
Hanoun continued by saying: The religious authority's speech is an integrated roadmap that ensures the elimination of the scourge of drugs and the crime of their trade and use.
He stressed that jumping over the texts of the constitution and pressuring institutions is part of corruption.
Hanoun added that the first theft was the theft of the texts of the constitution, so we must prevent intrusion and interference in the work of constitutional institutions. We in the Integrity Commission monitor the performance of all institutions and detect any interference and deviation in the work of those institutions and we will intervene to prevent any pressures and support those institutions.
He said that Iraq will be a real starting point for change in the region when we work to undermine corruption and build and support constitutional institutions to curb the corrupt and complicit.
Hanoun thanked the Communications and Media Commission and all local media outlets for their continuous support for anti-corruption efforts, addressing the media as the eye of the people and the state on public money and protecting the constitution.
He said: Our work with the commission and the media will be in accordance with an ongoing twinning to continue combating corruption and drug crime and protecting society.
He said: There are mouthpieces that promote the case of the accused Nour Zuhair in a dangerous way and educate the corrupt, calling on the media to scrutinize those who speak of corruption. We have other cases and files in the Integrity Commission from which this accused will not escape under any circumstances, and we have evidence and legal documents.
He added: There is an error in describing the legal ruling against Nour Zuhair in the Iraqi Penal Code, whose trial will be tomorrow, Wednesday, and this has been corrected.
For his part, Chairman of the Communications and Media Commission Ali Al-Muayyad said that signing the memorandum of joint cooperation with the Integrity Commission has made the Iraqi media protected by information and open doors in all state departments and welcomed in all constitutional institutions to uncover corruption and enhance transparency.
He added that the Integrity Commission has succeeded in its work and restored citizens' confidence in the state, the constitution and the law.
He pointed out that the government's directives to support all media outlets have made the Communications and Media Commission responsible for joint and fruitful cooperation to convey the facts to the people and to interconnect work between all media bodies and institutions.
Al-Muayyad said: We will not allow any means to distort the course of the truth and cover up the corrupt in the media, and there is no immunity for any corrupt person who tries to exploit the media.
He added: There will be a new page for media cooperation in combating drugs and crimes and exposing corrupt people.
He said: We have monitored internal and external agendas to tarnish the reputation of visitors heading to the Arbaeen pilgrimage in the holy Karbala, and we will be on the lookout for anyone who tries to tarnish the reputation of visitors and the pilgrimage ceremonies. / End 5[/rtl]
