The President of the Republic and the Council of Ministers stressed that this stage is extremely difficult and requires unification of ranks and words. According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Media Office, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani met yesterday evening, Sunday, with President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, and the meeting witnessed a review of developments in the region, especially after the escalation of war crimes against the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples, and after the criminal act that resulted in the martyrdom of the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. The statement stated that "it was emphasized that this stage is extremely difficult and requires unification of ranks and words, as well as mobilizing international efforts to immediately stop all forms of aggression against the two brotherly peoples, in a way that achieves real stability in the region and preserves the lives of its peoples and the security of its citizens." The latest developments in the country were also discussed, and the need to support the government program and what has been achieved during the previous period was emphasized, and to work to provide stability, economic and social recovery, and enhance the pace of development in the country was emphasized. Yesterday, Al-Sudani decided to postpone his official visit to the United Kingdom scheduled for early October to a later date due to current developments on the regional and international arenas. He also confirmed during his reception of the Lebanese ambassador to Iraq that Iraq will continue to provide the necessary and humanitarian aid that supports the steadfastness of the Lebanese people.
