President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid stressed today, Wednesday, the necessity of working under the roof of the homeland to protect the stability of the country.
The President of the Republic said in a tweet on the (X) website: "On the immortal anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein and his family and companions - peace be upon them - on the day of Ashura, we recall the principles that represent a beacon that illuminates the path to freedom and social justice, rejecting injustice and defending the truth."
He added, "On this great occasion, we draw inspiration from the values of sacrifice and redemption that all Iraqis have offered in confronting tyranny and terrorism for the sake of the dignity of the homeland and citizens," stressing "the necessity of unifying the national ranks and working under the roof of the homeland to protect the stability of the country, the safety of citizens and fulfill their aspirations."
