    Information/Baghdad...
The leader of the State of Law Coalition, Sheikh Haider Al-Lami, explained on Monday that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani has included early elections within his government program, noting that the current session has one year left after setting October 25 of next year as the date for holding parliamentary elections.
Al-Lami told Al-Maalouma, "Early elections have become almost a law after they were included in the government program of Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani's government, and this program was voted on in the House of Representatives."
He added, "There are 29 points approved by the government within its government program, with the approval of everyone and the consensus of the House of Representatives on that program, as the parliamentary elections were set for November 25, 2025."
He explained that "the current session has one year left, and any date on which elections are held before the mentioned date is considered early elections, especially since Al-Sudani has included that within the government's program, at a time when the government has announced its readiness to go towards early elections if asked to do so."
