, the leader of the State of Law coalition, Jassem Al-Moussawi, confirmed that holding early elections is very difficult at the present time.
Al-Moussawi said, in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News, that “it is difficult to hold early elections at the present time because holding elections now conflicts with the work of the Commission, and if the elections are held, the Commission must be replaced and reconstituted.”
He added, "Replacing and restructuring the Independent Election Commission requires a long time, and this is not consistent with holding early elections."
He pointed out that "the next elections will be on their scheduled date after the end of the current electoral cycle, and there is no advance date for their date or holding early elections."
