    He pointed out that "the Iraqi delegation asked the World Bank delegation to provide financial assistance to finance the budget by providing development loans, said the delegation the importance of the adoption of the World Bank for the project study the water situation in the country, especially in conditions of water scarcity and improve the management and use of water resources in the country." 

    The statement continued, "The delegation reviewed all World Bank projects in Iraq and lagging list, and urged the bank to the inclusion of projects within the investment plan for the budget."

    The Iraqi delegation, called last Saturday, during his talks with the Executive Director of the Iraq Programme at the World Bank Mirza Hassan, drawers World Bank projects within the investment budget plan, stressing the need for meaningful cuts in vital programs such as energy and electricity. 

    The World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim, pledged during a meeting with Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi financial and Minister Hoshyar Zebari, last Friday, to send a high-level delegation to Baghdad to study the needs of the displaced and the reconstruction of the liberated areas Fund.
