Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The Private Amnesty Commission associated to the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg’s office (member of Five-Side Commission tasked to consider the demonstrators’ demands) announced including (396) women detainees in the private amnesty law.
A statement by Mutleg’s office cited “In compliance with the Deputy Premier’s instructions and his eagerness to meet the demonstrators’ demands, the Private Amnesty Commission conducted field visit to the central women prison to check on the situation there and consider the cases that can be included in the Private Amnesty law.”
The statement quoted Mutleg’s office director, Mohanned Husam il-Din as saying “The commission will continue its field visit to involve other prisons in the other provinces in order to diagnose the cases that could be covered with the private amnesty.”
