    Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The Iraqi National Alliance stated that amending the Justice and Accountability law, the Debaathification law, is based on humanitarian basis.
    A press statement by the INA received by IraqiNews.com on Tuesday cited “Due to the responsible and important role of the INA and to the dangerous political situation in Iraq, the political sides within the INA and the representatives of the other blocs decided to discuss the demands of the demonstrators according to the law and the constitution.”
    “The INA refused canceling any law related to terrorism, but it agreed upon amending the Debaathification law according to the humanitarian basis and to helping the families of those included in this law to improve their living,” the statement added.
    “To make the Iraqis aware of this issue and the statements of some political sides, the INA wish to show that the amendment of this law was shown to all the political blocs and all of them either supported or agreed not to object it,” the statement pointed out, assuring that “The amendment will be submitted to the parliament to discuss and endorse it.”
    “The INA is clear in its stance over not allowing the criminals of the former regime to resume their posts or nominate themselves for the parliament membership and the local governments and according to this stance, the INA calls not to make this issue greater and more debatable,” the statement concluded.
