    [ltr]Said US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter, Monday, that Iraqi forces are will lead the battle of Mosul and he expects supplying additional forms of support in the battle of the restoration of the city of Mosul, stressing that the military operations by the United States carried out in the framework of the international coalition against al Daash in Iraq and Syria, accelerated in recent days, which saw the start of a truce between the warring Syrian parties.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Carter said in a press conference at the Pentagon about the developments of the region that "the cease-fire in Syria, which came into force at dawn on Saturday does not include operations against Daash," adding that his country is continuing to pursue the organization until his defeat.[/ltr]
