Sanandaj - Referring to setting new passport restrictions to enter Iraq, Governor of Marivan said that Iranians who want to travel to Iraq through Bashmaq border should have a passport valid for at least six months.
Mohammad Fallahi told IRNA that before this new restriction, those having passports with less than one month validity were allowed to travel to Iraq and Kurdistan Autonomous Region.

Governor of Marivan said that over 750,000 people crossed Bashmaq border in the Iranian year of 1394 (ended on March 20).

Bashmaq official border which is located 15km from Marivan is one of the most important crossing points for transit of people and goods to and from Iraq.
