    Member of the Finance Committee said the National Alliance MP Abdul Ameer Al-mayahi, the decision to exempt foreign companies and local tax and customs will push companies to come to Iraq to work and invest.

    Mayahi said in a press statement that the investment process in Iraq still lagged behind and suffer from several handicaps, what made investors reluctant to enter the Iraqi environment for investment.

    He added: the decision of the Council of Ministers to exempt foreign companies and local financial and tax fees Customs will push those companies to work in Iraq, so will support the investment process in the country, saying that a positive step towards a real investment by bringing international companies.

    The Cabinet decided at its usual exemption for foreign and domestic companies implementing investment projects from taxes and fees.
