     Asked Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki during his participation in the second forum of gas exporting countries, which will be held on Monday in the Russian capital Moscow, the opportunities to invest in Iraq areas of oil and gas, which confirmed that Iraq sought to increase its production and expand its industries of oil and the establishment of refineries and encourage companies to increase their investments in this areas.
    Maliki began yesterday a visit to Moscow two-day visit during which he will meet Russian officials, led by President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
    A statement by the Prime Minister's Office received "morning," a copy of it on Sunday, that "al-Maliki will discuss during his meetings in Moscow to expand the horizons of cooperation between Iraq and Russia in all areas, as well as discuss the latest developments in the region and ways to strengthen security and stability."
    The statement noted that "al-Maliki and his accompanying delegation, which included the ministers of oil, industry and minerals and head of the National Investment Commission and a number of consultants, will participate in the second forum of gas exporting countries," explaining that "will meet with the heads of Russian companies big and businessmen participating in the forum, and will review the opportunities available for investment Iraq in the areas of oil and gas, energy and others, as will renew the call for Russian companies to take advantage of investment opportunities available in Iraq. "
    The importance of the visit of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to Moscow, they came directly after the liberation of Iraq from the provisions of Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, and this international consensus in support of Iraq approaches its transition to a state in the industry contribution to international peace and security.
    Experts say the withdrawal of Iraq from Chapter VII in addition to international support will open doors in front of him wide in the orientations for the reconstruction and development of the country in various fields, particularly the oil and gas sectors, as Russia sold long experience in this field because of their potential of advanced and sophisticated, as well as on the work of the largest Russian companies in the development of the oil sector in Iraq.
    As part of its activities in Moscow, met with Maliki, the prime LUKOIL Russian oil, as confirmed during the meeting that Iraq sought to increase its oil production and expand its industries of oil and the establishment of refineries and encourage companies to increase their investments in these areas, adding that "LUKOIL companies are reliable, which has respect for the government and the Ministry of Oil, "hello" the company's efforts to expand its investments in Iraq. "
    For his part, the President of the Russian company noted that it intends to double its investments in the field of extraction and petrochemical industries in Iraq.
    In addition, parliamentarians welcomed the efforts by the government to activate Iraq's foreign relations with other countries of the world, especially after the exit of the country from Chapter VII, which allows him to conclude more transactions, and the establishment of economic partnerships with major industrial countries.

    Yes, Looks like all the Dominoes are falling into place. Maliki is out making deals. Russia was a sticking point in the vote, and he goes there first.... I wonder if thats coincidental?
