" 
    He noted that the "infrastructure investment associated with the production of oil gas rickety so it needs millions of dollars to developing them to serve the country." 
    For his part, said oil expert Hamza Jeweler "long", said that "wasted natural gas value of one billion dollars annually , a large amount of this depends on gas prices in the global market , " explaining that " the wasted amount of gas estimated at about 50 percent and it is hoped that at least during the coming period through invested by companies involved in oil production. " 
    He stressed that "Basra Gas Company is to invest the associated gas well in addition to the Southern Gas Company in connection with its investment, which will reflect positively on the oil sector and the country 'srevenues." 
    Oil Ministry confirmed that the country will reach self - sufficiency of natural gas during 2020 by requiring foreign oil companies operating in the country to invest accompanying oil gas operations phase. 
    A spokesman for the Oil Ministry, Assem Jihad , "long", said that "Iraq 's production of natural gas nowstands at 1.2 million cubic feet," adding that "wasted quantities of natural gas expands as more than crude oil production."

    International and domestic oil studies confirm that the country did not stop the waste of natural gas which lost a chance to increase the financial revenues and diversify its sources of income in line with the current stage , especially as the country is witnessing a severe financial crisis led to a government austerity policy by reducing the financial expenses. 
    The oil expert in the oil ministry, a modern Saleh, presented a study on wasted natural gas, said in his study, " The amount of gas burned since the 2011-2015 amounting to 2220 billion cubic feet either money lost size in five years due to burning natural gas , assuming the price of seven rate dollars per million BTUs of $ 15.5 billion. " 
    He added that "this money can be used to rebuild Iraq and to increase service installations and enable us to build 60 hospitals at a cost of $ 3 billion and 2,500 schools at a cost of 5 billion and 75,000 residential units with services at a cost of 6 billion and a half billion." 
    In the same context, a source in the Basra Gas Company , said the "long", " The higher production of natural gas reached Basra Gas Company 677 Mqmqa," adding that " the average monthly gas production of 530 Mqmqa , " asserting that "hundreds of applications reached a Company Basrah gas to buy gas that isproduced. "
