    Wasit province administration announced starting the implementation of the "master of the martyrs , " a project for afforestation Mehran Cote via a length of 90 km and the establishment of eight large forests on both sides of the road. As revealed the formation of a joint committee of the two provinces to supervise the said project, Iran 's Ilam province , confirmed the possibility of moving this project down to the holy city of Karbala. 
    The adviser said the governor of Wasit, Commission supervision and monitoring of the project by Abdul Jalil Prism in an interview (range), it is "part of a series of joint cooperation between the provinces of Wasit agreements and the Tigers were starting the implementation of the first joint environmental agricultural project dubbed Project (the martyrs), which includes afforestation road the link between the perpetrators and Mehran Zurbatiyah down to the city of Kut and the establishment of eight forests on both sides of the road. " 
    "The work of the project was initiated after it created the Ilam province , a sufficient number of trees and themore than five thousand different tree in addition to agricultural cadres specialized and mechanisms supporting the project, which began in landscaping , starting from the border towards the city of Kut." 
    He explained that "this project consists of eight forests, distributed on both sides of the road, the area of each one of them (200) acres, in addition to planting roadside by four rows of trees, and is divided into stages, starting from Zurbatiyah border port and ending in Kut." 
    Pointing out that " the first phase of the project will be Gaptin, each one of them is located on one side of the road, between Zurbatiyah border port and the city of Badra. The second phase , it will be between Badra spend hand Jassan, and include Gaptin well. The third phase will be one of four forests , each two of them are located on one side of the road, between the hand Jassan and the city of Kut. " 
    He said that "more than five thousand different tree species will be planted in these forests, and will more than twenty species of trees, according to what suits the nature of the soil and rainfall." 
    He pointed to " the formation of a committee of the two provinces under his chairmanship and membership of the heads of the relevant departments, and the Iranian party , headed by Chairman of the Committee on Forestry and Desertification in Ilam Province, to oversee the project, and follow - up phases of implementation, and overcome the obstacles that can occur." 
    For his part, forestry and desertification official in Iran 's Ilam Province Reza Ahmadi , said that " the most important project is a joint venture between the two provinces and marks the beginning of greater cooperation and more in the coming period." 
    He stated that "Ilam Province will on its part to creating a sufficient number of trees required by the project specifications that will be compatible with the nature of the Iraqi environment and climate that bear various weather conditions all of which are productive trees from the forests Eelam." 
    He explained that "there is an intention to the Ilam Province to move this vital project towards the holy city of Karbala after the completion of Mehran Cote stage and will be of great importance for Iranian visitors who intend to visit the holy sites in Iraq." 
    He explained that the landscaping will use evergreen trees are windbreaks also give aesthetic mentioned the road being followed every year millions of visitors Iranians and Iraqis when they go to visit the holy sites in both Iraq and Iran. " 
    He pointed out that planting those trees process and watered will be using scientific methods modern and relying on common cadres of the two parties. " 
    Mohammed said " the two sides agreed on the establishment of Gaptin in the same area , an area of each of three dunums where they are instilling in them a large group of evergreen trees that fit the nature of the Iraqi climate." 
    The local government in Wasit had already signed a number of memorandums of mutual understanding between them and the Iranian Ilam Province to implement many of the agricultural, health, cultural, sports and various industrial projects. But these memos and agreements have not entered into the actual implementation during the last term with the exception of some minor things.
