    [ltr]Seven Afghan officers, including two generals, were sacked after the attack on their base on the campus of Kabul's military academy in the first punitive measures taken after a wave of bloody bombings.[/ltr]
    [ltr]President Ashraf Ghani wrote on Twitter: "Seven high-ranking officers, including two brigadier generals, have proved negligence. The seven have been sacked and an additional investigation will be opened."[/ltr]
    [ltr]The Afghan government is under pressure after four attacks in 10 days targeted three of which the capital Kabul, resulting in the deaths of more than 130 people and 250 injured.[/ltr]
    [ltr]In the context, the Afghan Intelligence Directorate announced the seizure of a truck carrying tons of different equipment that can be used to make bombs, and officials said the truck was on the road leading to the base, "Bagram" US 50 km north of Kabul.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Taliban militants attacked the Intercontinental Kabul in January, killing at least 20 people, including at least 15 foreigners, according to an official toll.[/ltr]
    [ltr]A week later, gunmen blew up a car bomb in the center of the capital, killing more than 100 people and injuring 235, in a street that houses many institutions and embassies and is heavily guarded.[/ltr]
    [ltr]On the other hand, the organization carried out two attacks, one on the Sword of the Child in Jalalabad on January 24, killing six people, and the other targeted the Kabul Military Academy on the 29th of the same month, killing 11 people. Ending 29/9[/ltr]
