    [rtl]Japan recorded a surplus in the trade balance less than expected in February, with exports increasing for the 15th month in a row and more than expected .[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]The world's third-largest economy posted a trade surplus of 3.4 billion yen ($ 32 million) in February, up from 804.5 billion yen in the same period last year, data from Japan's Finance Ministry showed Monday .[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]Analysts had expected Japan to record a trade surplus of 89.1 billion yen .[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]On the level of Japan's exports last month, it rose by 1.8%, compared with estimates of 1.4 %.[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]Imports grew by 16.5%, while forecasts indicated that they would rise by 16 %.[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]Japan's trade surplus with the United States rose by 3.4% last month, with exports to Washington growing by 4.3 %.[/rtl]
