    Iraq and the European Union on Sunday signed a new financial agreement to support the post-war effort and help to promote development, transparency and accountability in the region and the elimination of pollution and the amount of 72 million euros.

    He added that the agreements deal with issues of decentralization and support of the oil sector, as well as support for the return of displaced people to their areas of residence, especially after the removal of mines from their areas and the reconstruction of liberated cities.
    He pointed out that "the delegation of the European Union will visit a number of areas within the tour to Iraq."
    For his part, the representative of the European Union said in a speech at the press conference, "We are here to implement what we agreed at the Kuwait Conference and translate it into action through the signing of three agreements. The first group of agreements that support Iraq and the amount of 72 million euros to support the implementation of the reconstruction of Iraq" .
    "The signing of these agreements shows the EU's concrete support for the development plans in Iraq and help families and communities rebuild their lives and their economy," he said.
    He explained that "the first component of this package for an additional 10 million euros to carry out a number of activities in Anbar, Nineveh, Kirkuk, Salahaddin and Diyala to ensure the return of displaced persons wishing to return voluntarily to their homes safely."
