(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi said that the relations between Iraq and Kuwait are exceptional and are dominated by cooperation and goodwill and the common desire to develop them in all fields that serve stability, development and economic prosperity.
"Iraq is moving steadily to overcome the difficulties of the past and the effects of devastating wars, and we have the task of building in cooperation with its brothers and establishing economic and trade partnerships for the benefit of our peoples and the region in general," Abdul Mahdi said during a meeting with Khalid al-Rowdan, minister of commerce and industry and minister of state for Kuwaiti services and his accompanying delegation.
He pointed to "the model of the agreement between Iraq and Jordan and the establishment of a joint industrial zone, and willingness to work with the State of Kuwait and to cooperate more and activate border ports and provide all the facilities and facilities for investors."
The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the Amir's positions and wisdom and his support for increasing and expanding relations of cooperation with Iraq.
For his part, the Kuwaiti Minister of Trade conveyed the greetings of the Amir of Kuwait to the Prime Minister and his emphasis on Kuwait's support for the stability and reconstruction of Iraq and the success of the plans of the Iraqi government and the desire to raise the level of trade exchange and involve the private sector and establish partnership relations between the two countries.
