    He said Director of the Section Hakki Ismail Mustafa said in a statement the Ministry of Industry, said that "doubling efforts and organization of work in the department of doubling revenues compared to what has been achieved during the last year , shares," hoping to "double revenue to reach 3 billion dinars a year." 
    He pointed out that " the department will grant the trademark in accordance with the legal and administrative proceedings where the receipt of examination requests and registration by agents trademark registration after payment of approved fees in accordance with the branding and data law and the deduction of 10% of the fee value for the purpose of covering the cost of administration Activity brands according to the law ". 
    Mustafa added that "after the investigation of the mark within the registered trademarks record are accepted or rejected registration of the mark , according to the reality of the situation." 
    He continued that "after the acceptance of the mark to be reported in (3) consecutive bulletins for the purpose of public access to them is then to provide the owner of the mark a certificate recording if no provision of any objection to the publication 90 days after the issuance of the third issue of trademark bulletin that is renew the registration of the brand after 10 years , but will be considered null and void. " 
    As for the signs of foreign commodity produced outside Iraq and marketed within Iraq, Mustafa said that " the registration process is done by an Iraqi lawyer said holds agency for the owner of a certified mark of four points is the country of origin and the State Department and the taxes and the central bank and apply the same procedures to grant brands." 
    He pointed out that "giving the brand contributes to take the product over a wide spread marketing and gives the consumer confidence in the quality of the product and the validity and expressed Mustafa hoped the adoption of the single window electronic system of registration of trademarks , as is the case in neighboring countries." 
    The Trademark Department of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals is the only body authorized to grant trademark in Iraq , according to branding and data Law No. 21 of 1957 average. Iraq and a member of the Paris Convention on Industrial Property and the Convention on Singapore brands.
