    The Iraqi Government welcomed the upcoming visit of Iranian President elect Hassan Rowhani to the capital Baghdad.

    And Rowhani is scheduled to lead the fourth of August next sworn officially took office as President of the Republic according to the governing body on Tuesday by the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran.

    He said the Prime Minister's Advisor Ali al-Musawi said in a press statement that "the Iraqi Government expresses its hope to open a new page with Iran's elected President, Hassan Rowhani, on the basis of common interests and mutual respect while welcoming touts Rowhani to Baghdad soon.

    Al-Moussawi described the visit of former Iranian outgoing President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad expected to Baghdad, "it would be a symbolic visit, marking the end of his mandate and will allocate to visit holy shrines in Baghdad and Najaf and Karbala",

    adding "we expect that there will be no formal agreements during the two-day visit, but there will be Ahmadinejad's meetings with most of the country's leaders, including Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and Vice President to President Al-khudhair Iraqi Parliament Osama Al-nujaifi.

    The Advisor to the Prime Minister that "health indisposition to President Jalal Talabani led to the postponement of the visit to this time, we hope that the new Iranian President Hassan Rowhani's visit to Iraq to discuss issues of common interest concerning the two countries and the region."

    The Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed today visiting former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad outgoing to Iraq later this week..

    Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Government welcomed the expected visit for the recently elected Iranian President, Hasan Rouhani, to the Iraqi Capital Baghdad.
    The Advisor of the Iraqi Prime Minister, Ali al-Musawi, said in a press statement “The Iraqi Government expresses its hope that the visit of the Iranian elected President Rouhani to Iraq will be a chance to start a new phase of cooperation and mutual interests and respect.”
