It announced the Basra Investment Commission, the approval of the Prime Minister to enable the "Kaufmann Krupp" direct implementation of the project the city of Basra logistics venture, which is located on land formerly Bucca prison, and after that the authority granted in 2012 investment license of the company to implement the project.
The head of the Gaspe in a press statement that the commission received a letter from the Council of Ministers recommended under the supervision of the Commission on the project and directs the mayor of Umm Qasr in the contract with the company invested the process, noting that the Commission is currently work on the development of the legal guarantees of the investor to implement the project and within timelines and ceilings specified.
He added that the investment project for the city of Basra, logistics includes many events, including stores and other plants, etc., and would contribute to the movement of trade and economy in the country.
He explained that the cost of the project amounting to two hundred and forty-five million dollars and an area of two hundred thousand acres and the duration of time for the implementation of the project amounting to twenty-four months and the duration of time for investment amounting to forty years.
