    The Economic Committee in the Baghdad Provincial Council confirmed, Sunday, non-registration of cases of high prices in local markets during the current month of Ramadan, as happened in previous years, and while that showed austerity in the country's actions contributed to maintain price stability for the fact that the citizen has reduced the proportion of expenses for the years earlier, he indicated that the availability of local agricultural product and low price also contributed to reducing the demand for local markets.



    A member of the Committee on the Alkraawi that "is not registered cases of high prices in local markets during the current month of Ramadan, as happened in previous years," noting that "austerity measures in the country contributed to maintain price stability for the fact that the citizen has reduced the proportion of expenses for the previous years ".



    He explained Alkraawi, "The availability of local agricultural product and low price also contributed to reducing the demand for local markets," pointing out that "the markets maintain or reduce their prices when demand less and vice versa is also true."



    The economic expert on behalf of Jamil Antoine denied Saturday (May 13, 2017), there are economic reasons for the rise in prices in the month of Ramadan, as explained that the reason for the rise is that some traders are greedy monopoly on important basic materials and raise their prices to achieve imaginary profits, he pointed out that Western countries The reduction in prices during the events and seasons to help the poor class.



    The Iraqi market is witnessing a significant rise in prices during the month of Ramadan amid complete absence by the competent organs of the State, which contributes to the growing phenomenon every year to be a price higher than the previous years.
