Iraqi plans for investment budget next year, MP

Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Member of the Parliamentary Financial Commission Abdul Qadir Mawloud admitted that 2018 budget will have its deficit due to the war against Da'ish (ISIS) organization and dependence on oil revenues.
No exact figures or estimates were given for the next year's budget, but he pointed out that the government is planning to make it as investment budget to increase non-oil revenues, as well as reconstructing the devastated cities.
He suggested minimizing the operative expenditures.
On the other hand, economic experts that the costs of Da'ish war reached to 40 billion dollars.
They expect that the tax collection will reach to 10 billion dollars, in comparison to 1.5 billion dollars in the past, as well as the customs to reach 10 billion dollars next year, in comparison to 7 billion dollars for this year, 2017.
