Iraq's ambassador to Moscow: Baghdad is open to discuss the issue of receiving air support in the fight against terrorism

The Iraqi ambassador in Moscow, Haider Mansour Hadi, on Thursday that his country is open to discuss initiatives for air support in the fight against terrorism, stressing at the same time that only Iraqi forces authorized to conduct ground operations.
The Iraqi ambassador said in an interview with the Russian "Tass" that the military technical cooperation between Baghdad and Moscow is developing in the framework of a large deal between the two countries in 2014 worth 4.2 billion dollars, noting that military experts from Russia are training Iraqi pilots to command the "Sukhoi" Russian Air Force.
Ambassador Haider Hadi did not rule out new military deals between the two countries in the future, pointing out that the bulk of weapons in Iraq consists of Russian-made weapons.
