The Russian air force destroyed during its participation in the war on terrorism at the request of the Syrian government hundreds of training camps and workshops manufacturing ammunition for terrorist organizations, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shweigo said.
"Russian warplanes have destroyed 948 training camps and 666 factories and workshops to produce ammunition for terrorist organizations in Syria since they began their participation in the war on terrorism some two years ago," Shweigo told a meeting of ASEAN defense ministers.
He added that "the result of the military operations conducted by the Syrian Arab Army in cooperation with the Allies and the support of the air force to restore security and stability to 998 cities and villages after the elimination of the concentrations of terrorists in them."
Shweigo pointed out that "stability is beginning to return to Syria with the return of about 1.2 million citizens to their regions and villages since 2015, including 660 thousand this year, noting that as a result of local reconciliations in cooperation with the Russian Coordination Center, 2500 regions throughout Syria joined the process Reconciliation ".
The Russian warplanes are attacking the dens of the so-called Ansar Front and the groups under their leadership since September 30, 2015 in the framework of the war on Takfiri terrorism, as requested by the Syrian government.
