    The Finance Committee of the parliamentary on Friday, the Cabinet discussed the proposal to reduce the salaries of state employees in the budget of 2018.
    A member of the Committee Hossam al-Aqabi told the «Journal News», that "the Iraqi Council of Ministers discussed the proposal to reduce the salaries of state employees in the budget of 2018."
    He added that "the draft public budget delayed the Council of Ministers sent to Parliament and came out of the constitutional date, which was scheduled to be sent mid-month, to ratify it, but the reduction of public expenditure and the International Monetary Fund and the problem of the region were the reasons for delay in reaching parliament."
    He pointed out that "the budget of the Kurdistan region will be recalculated in addition to counting the expenses and revenues of the region again."
    He pointed out that "the proposal to reduce the salaries of state employees has been put in the Council of Ministers and will be rejected in parliament in the event of deductions for salaries of employees," pointing out that "deductions at the moment is appropriate unless good services are provided to the citizen."
