"The Republic of Turkey is determining what constitutes a threat to its national security," Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalan said in response to US statements about the military equipment provided to the Kurdistan Democratic Party (PKK) Kurdish parties in Syria.
In a statement to reporters on Friday, he said that all weapons and military equipment granted by the United States to the party in northern Syria "under the pretext of war on a sympathetic organization" should be withdrawn without delay.
"Since the war on Da'ash is over, it no longer needs this equipment, but we know very well how the United States has previously hidden the effects of the weapons it has deployed in Iraq in a similar way."
