Saudi Arabia's political daily Al-Riyadh reported on Sunday that political forces in Iraq's parliament had called for the rejection of any economic, political or cultural activity in Qatar, pointing out that the forces rejected a draft by Doha to invest in the gas sector and infrastructure in Iraq.
"The draft submitted by the political forces in the Iraqi parliament included strong and documented evidence of the destructive role played by Qatar in Iraq over the past years by proving the support of the Emirate of Qatar to extremist groups through Suspicious investments of large sums of money that have destabilized Iraq's security and stability and fueled violence by supporting extremist groups with money and arms supplies. "
The report of the Iraqi parliament, according to the newspaper, stressed "its rejection of Qatari investments, exposing a number of logical concerns, and said that the Qatari companies developed for investment may be the arms of many hostile political activities through which the emirate of Qatar plans terrorist practices linked to the terrorist organization and other organizations Terrorist organization. "
The newspaper pointed out that "the rejection of the political forces in the Iraqi parliament for Qatari investments came after the announcement by Iraqi Oil Minister Jabbar al-Labi of the desire of Qatar Petroleum to invest in development projects in the sectors of gas, extraction and liquidation, petrochemicals and infrastructure, and development projects in the Iraqi oil sector in cooperation and partnership and a coalition with a number of Specialized international companies ".
