"The streets in major cities of Iran, including Tehran, Mashhad, Isfahan and Rasht, are witnessing demonstrations caused by social discontent," the Russian Foreign Ministry said on its Facebook page.

The Russian Foreign Ministry issued a notice to Russian citizens in which it recommended to avoid places of gatherings and crowds in Iranian cities, which are witnessing continuous protests.
