[rtl]He added that "there is an unprecedented increase in the operations of the Basra gas project, an increase of 80 percent over the same period last year." In a statement sent to Prime Minister Haider Abadi, the minister said, "This increase will support the national wealth through the export capacity of ultra-cooled and natural gas Raw. "[/rtl]
[rtl]"Iraq began exporting gas in 2016, achieving ambitions that have been greatly delayed by the Iran-Iraq war since the 1980s," the report said.[/rtl]
[rtl]In December, Petrofac Petroleum Services, a London-based oil company, received a $ 160 million contract to help repair Iraq's southern oil port for the Basra Oil Company, formerly known as the South Oil Company.[/rtl]
[rtl]The contract includes infrastructure that facilitates crude oil tankers waiting for oil loading, more than 180 miles of new pipelines and a mile from the associated hose infrastructure. So far, the company said it has facilitated the export of more than 2.2 billion barrels of Iraqi oil.[/rtl]
