    [rtl]The United Nations appealed for a donation of $ 2.96 billion in 2018 to provide urgent assistance to more than 13 million people in Yemen facing the "worst humanitarian crisis" in the world.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The United Nations humanitarian coordinator in Yemen, Jimmy McGoldrick, said Monday at a press conference in Sanaa that donors in 2017 about 1.6 billion dollars out of the 2.34 billion needed by the population of the poor country.[/rtl]
    [rtl]More than 9,200 Yemenis have been killed since the start of the Saudi aggression, while more than 52,000 have been injured, according to the World Health Organization.[/rtl]
    [rtl]A report by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) last week indicated that some 22.2 million Yemenis, "76 percent of the population," needed help.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The risk of famine in Yemen is increasing as 8.4 million people suffer from hunger, compared with 6.8 million in 2017, the report said.[/rtl]
    [rtl]This figure includes more than half of the country's provinces, of which 72 are among the 95 most at risk of starvation.[/rtl]
