    The Ministry of Electricity announced on Monday the electricity consumption fees for the categories (domestic, commercial, agricultural and industrial). 
    "The reduction in the prices of electric power consumption was based on the proposal submitted by the Ministry of Electricity, which confirmed the increase of government subsidies and taking into account the categories of household category with limited consumption, and the average consumption," said ministry spokesman Musab al-Mudarab in a statement. The rate of reduction of the new tariff to (50%) compared to the previous pricing. "
    The ministry reduced the household categories from seven categories to four categories according to monthly consumption. The first category with limited consumption (1-1,500) kWh / hour, at ten dinars per unit, ie the house that consumes (1500) units has a list of (15000) five (24) hours for the whole month, and the second category with average consumption (1501 - 3000) units of kilowatt-hour at (35) dinars, per unit , That is, the house that consumes (3000) units, shall be (67500) sixty seven thousand five hundred dinars, which is The use of electrical appliances (air conditioners 2 in size 2 tons and all household appliances), for 24 hours for a full month, and the third category of high consumption of (3001 - 4000) kWh, ie the house that consumes (4000) 147500) one hundred and forty-seven thousand five hundred dinars, which corresponds to the use of electrical appliances
    "The category and tariff of the commercial category has been modified from one class at a fixed price (120) dinars per kilowatt-hour to three categories, (60) dinars, for the first thousand units, (80) dinars for the second thousand and (120) dinars , In addition to the reduction in the price of the unit kilowatt-hour for industrial and agricultural branches, from (70) dinars, to (60) dinars and amend the government category from (100) dinars per unit kilowatt / hour, to (120) dinars. 
    The Cabinet approved earlier the request of the Ministry of Electricity to isolate the debts of the previous citizens for the purpose of review and find appropriate solutions in support of the poor and low-income groups, which was actually implemented at the beginning of this year.
