House of Representatives calls to change the Iraq dossier official in the European Union

Twilight News / called on the Foreign Relations Committee in the Iraqi parliament Wednesday during a regular meeting ambassadors of the EU to change the charge of the Iraqi file Straun Stevenson Union on the back of hosting former Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi.
Hashemi, who issued an international arrest warrant against him, he was able to reach Brussels thanks to an official invitation from the Foreign Affairs Committee in the European Parliament to attend a conference on human rights.
Call sparked angry reactions by Iraqi officials, clerics and citizens.
Committee member said Yassin Majeed for "Twilight News" The Ambassadors stressed their rejection of the visit carried out by al-Hashemi to the headquarters of the Union.
He added that the ambassadors told his committee that Stevenson Hashemi personally hosted in his office and not as an administrator, noting that during the meeting demanded change Stevenson as a goodwill gesture from the Union towards Iraq.
Sentenced al-Hashemi, Iraqi Vice President until May 2011, several death sentences after being convicted in absentia of running death squads, a charge he denies and says he is the victim prosecution of political goals stand behind Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.
Hashemi expressed in a press conference held in Brussels last month, expressed his willingness to return "immediately" to Baghdad to appear before the courts in the event of the European Union has pledged to ensure a fair trial for him.
