    BAGHDAD / The Baghdad Provincial Council demanded on Saturday that the proportion of the capital from the general budget of the country equivalent to the proportion of the Kurdistan region of the budget, while stressing that the government has promised the Council to finance many important projects, but did not implement its promise.
    A member of the Council Ali Jaafar al-Alaq told "Iraq News", that "the ratio of the capital Baghdad from the general budget of the country must be equivalent to the proportion of the Kurdistan region of the budget at least," noting, "Baghdad gets about 4% to 5% While the province received 17% of the budget in previous years, although the population of the capital more than 8 million while the population of the province of Kurdistan about 6 million only.
    He stressed that "the federal government bears the responsibility for the deterioration of services and the cessation of many projects in the province of Baghdad in a basic," pointing out that "the government has promised the Council to finance a lot of important projects, but it did not implement its promise and these projects are still stalled, Requirements of his daily life. "
