The Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, on Sunday, expressed the intention of the Jordanian and Iraqi sides to establish an industrial zone on the border between the two countries, which contribute to the creation of a strategic partnership between them, stressing that the Iraqi economy and Jordan complement each other.
"A strong Iraqi economy must be the nucleus of a strong Jordanian economy," the Jordanian newspaper al-Ghad quoted the judges as saying. "The Jordanian and Iraqi economies are complementary, and this is reflected in joint meetings between the two countries at various levels."
"The Jordanian and Iraqi sides have discussed the establishment of an industrial zone on the border between the two countries, which will contribute to the creation of a strategic partnership between them, as well as the establishment of a Jordanian-Iraqi industrial company to establish joint industrial projects and implement the oil and gas pipeline project.
"The Jordanian and Iraqi governments have a strong will to improve economic relations and achieve integration between the two countries. This is an opportunity for the business community, especially as we have made great strides in entering a list of Jordanian products to Iraq. Which will give impetus to trade and investment relations alike. "
"The Iraqi government is now in the final stages of determining the lists of goods that will be requested to be exempted from Iraqi customs duties," the judges said. "The Iraqi goods that are allocated in Aqaba will not be controlled inside Jordan but within the Iraqi borders according to the procedures of the Iraqi side." Ending / 25
