Paris warns of confrontation in the region after Trump's decision on Iran's nuclear program

French Foreign Minister Jean-Louis Lauderian warned that there is a real risk of a confrontation in the region after US President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from Iran's nuclear deal.
On Wednesday, Lauderian said Iran's agreement was not dead, and IAEA reports showed Iran's respect for the nuclear deal. He said Iran's ballistic missile program and other issues should be discussed, but the nuclear deal must be kept.
The French foreign minister said there was a planned meeting next Monday with the foreign ministers of Iran, Britain and Germany.
